Every year Heartloom comes out with a different version of this coat and every year without fail it ends up in either of our closets. This one is by far my favorite. The faux fur color is luxurious and the pattern is just giving me all the fall, cozy vibes. Runs true to size and there's definitely room to wear a sweater underneath.
I’m not sure how many people know this, but BB Dakota was actually bought by Steve Madden, I mean of course, is there anything Steve Madden can’t do?! They already have a lock down on the shoe industry, so it was only a matter of time before they took on clothing as well. We just brought BB Dakota/ Steve Madden into the store as a new brand this fall and we are already LOVING everything–This coat is no exception. I am all about winter whites and this coat fits the winter white category perfectly. Cozy and sophisticated are married in creating the perfect winter coat.
The last couple of years we have seen the evolution of the “ shacket”, which is essentially a shirt jacket. Now, when I say I am obsessed with shackets, I am not over exaggerating, my closet is FULL of them. They are the perfect layering piece over a white t-shirt or bodysuit paired back to leather pants or denim. This leather shacket is definitely going to be a staple in my closet this fall/winter season. It encompasses so many of my favorite trends, faux leather, the color beige, and it's a great layering piece. I’m wearing this over a bodysuit and light denim with white sneakers to run errands on Saturday’s or paired with black leather pants and booties for a night out.
